Am I entitled to a refund if I withdraw?

  • There is a full reduction in tuition fees (minus any required deposit for new international students) if the date of withdrawal is not more than 21 days after the official start date of the programme.
  • Tuition fees are reduced by two-thirds (minus any required deposit for new international students) if the date of withdrawal is after 21 days and before the start of the second term.
  • Tuition fees are reduced by one-third (minus any required deposit for new international students) if the date of withdrawal is on or after the first day of the second term and before the start of the third term.
  • Full fees remain payable if the date of withdrawal is on or after the first day of the third term, including any required deposit for new international students.
  • For non-standard years please contact your faculty office for equivalent dates.

The date of withdrawal is defined as the date that the University receives your written notification of your decision to withdraw. It cannot be backdated.

If you withdraw whilst still having direct debits due to be deducted from your account, you should not cancel your direct debit instalments. Your direct debit instalments will be adjusted, if necessary, to take into account any reduction in fees for which you are eligible.
