ISIC
ISIC isthe only form of student ID, providing international travel deals, and giving the holder access to over 25,000 discounts in over 100 countries worldwide as well as savings and services in the UK.
The card costs £7 and is valid for 15 months, from September until the following December. To obtain an ISIC Card you will need to fill in an application form. These can be obtained from STA Travel, 43 Queens Road, Bristol, tel. (0870) 166 2590 or online at STA Travel. Alternatively, you can download the ISIC application form from ISICcard.com and return the completed form by post to the ISIC Mail Order House.
When applying for an ISIC Card you will need to provide:- a passport sized photograph
- the correct money (£7 in person or £7.50 by mail order)
- proof of FULL-TIME student status (e.g. Students' UnionCard, a letter from UWE on dated and headed paper or a clear photocopy of the above if applying through mail order)
NUS Extra
There is an alternative student card called NUS Extra which is a UK discount card and ISIC card combined. NUS Extra costs £10 and gives you discounts at a wide range of shops and entertainment places as well as all the benefits of the ISIC card. Discounts include the cinema, theatre, clothing shops, on books, CD's, computer equipment and much more.
