I am suffering racist abuse, where can I go for help?

UWE has a sexual and racial harassment policy and takes any racial attack or racial discrimination very seriously. If you have suffered any racially motivated attack, abuse or harassment, contact the UWE Student Advice and Welfare Services or Counselling and Psychological Service in Student Services or the Students' Union Advice Centre to discuss confidentially what has happened.

If your situation is an emergency you can contact the police on 999.

The University Student Handbook includes a copy of the University sexual and racial harassment policy and outlines the procedures involved if you feel you are being discriminated against inside the University.

You can also report a hate crime, racial discrimination or harassment online at www.report-it.org.uk.
