What is the national minimum wage?

You should be aware that there is a national minimum wage in the UK, which employers are obliged to pay. The adult hourly rate for people aged 22 and over is due to rise in October 2007 from £5.35 to £5.52. The development rate for 18-21 year olds is also due to rise from £4.45 to £4.60 an hour.
