You can speak to your doctor, the University Counselling and Psychological Service, in Student Services, 3F, Frenchay Campus , tel. (0117) 32 82558) or get in touch with one of the organisations in Bristol that offer support and counselling, including:

Here are some things you can do that might help:

  • Talk to someone about what you are feeling; if this isn't easy for you, write it down
  • Ask for help - even if you find it difficult to ask, be brave - everyone needs help from time to time
  • Stay in touch with your friends - you don't have to cope all on your own
  • Take time to do things that you enjoy, whether it's a sport, something creative or something relaxing like reading a book or meditating
  • Try to get some time and space to think
  • Remember that you are not the only person to be feeling the way you are
