UWE guarantees accommodation to international undergraduate students if you:
- accept UWE as your firm choice
- return your accommodation application form to us
- will be living in University accommodation as a single person (that is, not accompanied by your family or anyone else)
- require the accommodation for a full letting period (normally 44/46 weeks)
- accept, sign and return your licence within 10 days of its issue, together withthepayment requested (300 in 2007). If you cannot return the paperwork within 10 days please telephone Accommodation Services (tel.0117 32 83601) when you receive your offer. Your payment will secure your room.
Accommodation has been set aside for international students, with the following features.
- The accommodation is made up of self-contained flats or houses sharing with either a group of international students or UK students, depending on your preference.
- Generally all bills are included in the rental charge.
- Bedding packs are available at a charge of approximately 20 per student. The bedding pack includes a duvet, pillow, sheets and a duvet cover. If you ask for one, itwill be delivered to your accommodation before you arrive. You will need to complete and return an order form if you would like to buy a bedding pack.
- You can buy a kitchen starter pack,which includes saucepans, utensils, crockery and cutlery, at a cost of 30. Again, you will need to complete andreturn an order form if you would like to buy a pack.
