Will I get UWE managed accommodation if I bring my family over?

The University does not have specific accommodation for families, but Accommodation Services may be able to help you locate adequate private accommodation for you and your family, provided you give them enough notice (six to eight weeks). We strongly advice you to come to Bristol first, to spend some time looking for accommodation before you bring your family to the UK.

Renting a property in the private sector is likely to cost between £500 and £900 per month, plus bills (council, tax, electricity, gas, water, telephone, etc) depending on the area of Bristol you live in. Accommodation Services has a list of private sector properties in the areas around the University or you can check with agents or in local newspapers. Please note that agencies often charge a fee. Find out how much they charge before you ask them to look for housing for you.

If you take private accommodation, make sure you read any contract or other documentation carefully, before you sign and get a copy for yourself. Remember to get receipts for all payments you make.
