There are eight public holidays in the UK known as 'Bank Holidays' when most offices, banks, shops and the University are closed, and public transport might be limited. Please note that during the Christmas holiday period most stores and shops are closed, whereas they may have limited opening hours during other holidays.

UWE student winter vacation is Monday 24 December 2007 until Friday 4 January 2008. The University will be closed from Tuesday 25 December 2007 until Wednesday 2 January 2008.
