University of the West of England

I am disabled, what do I need to know about the University?

UWE aims to treat every person as an individual with needs that may differ from each other.

Each faculty has a member of staff with responsibility for disability issues. Each faculty also has at least one student adviser to act as a first point of contact for any programme-related queries or personal issues. There is also a Disability Service, based at Frenchay Campus. The Disability Service provides an information, advice, assessment and support service for disabled students.

UWE encourages disabled people to disclose impairments and support needs on relevant application forms so that we can provide applicants with the correct information and advice regarding access to the University. If you have identified yourself as disabled on your application form, you should have received a copy of the Disability Service's disability information booklet from Admissions and International Recruitment.
